Transport to and from Budapest Airport (BUD)

Rail

The closest train station to Budapest airport Terminal 2 is Ferihegy and trains operate to/from Nyugati railway station in Budapest. To go/come back from the Ferihegy train station to/from T2 passengers can take bus 200E (day hours) and bus 900 (night hours).

Train tickets are not available for purchase at T2. However, trains operating between Ferihegy train station and Nyugati railway station may be used with Budapest travel cards, so the 24 and 72-hour, weekly and monthly travel passes for Budapest public transport available at the Post Office on the mezzanine level of Terminal 2A are also valid for these services.

MÁV, the Hungarian State Railway Company, operates a domestic ticket office at the Ferihegy train station every day from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Many non-European visitors use a Eurail Hungary Pass to use the Hungarian rail system at a very good discount.

Public Transportation

During night time (11 pm to 1 am) passengers can still pick up bus 200E. From 1 am to 4 am must pick up bus 900 (South Pest bus garage). Night bus departs Terminal 2 every 30 to 60 minutes, providing connectivity with the 950 and 950A Night bus.
