Budapest Airport Bus to downtown

It is possible to get to and from downtown Budapest by bus by the following bus lines. It is, in fact, one of the most reliable and convenient means of transportation to get safe and sound to downtown.

The following bus routes can take passengers to and from BUD Airport:


200E bus route
During daytime (04:00 am to 11:00 pm) 200E bus route departs from Terminal 2 every 10 minutes, linking with Metro Line 3 terminus at Kobánya-Kispest. Travel time from Terminal 2 to the city centre (Deák Ferenc tér) is 50 minutes by taking 200E bus and Metro 3.

During nighttime (11:00 pm to 01:00 am) passengers can still board bus 200E.


Night bus 900

From 01:00 am to 04:00 am, passengers must take bus 900 (South Pest bus garage). Night bus departs Terminal 2 every 30-60 minutes, linking with 950 and 950A night buses.


100E bus route
This is a direct bus route which links Budapest airport with downtown (Deák tér). It operated every 30 minutes. Please note that on its way to the airport it only stops at Kálvin tér.


Service hours: From 04:00 am to 11:30 pm.

Airport departure hours: From 05:00 am to 00:30 am.

The service stops at the bus stop located outside arrivals, between the two terminals.

If you choose to purchase it to the driver it is more expensive (HUF 450.00).



Where do I buy my ticket?

At the airport, tickets can be purchased at BKK at its customer service points, at the post office (Mezzanine level), at the newsagents (Relay) and at ticket machines at the bus stop and bus driver (HUF 450.00).
